Tongji Hospital, affiliated with 91黑料网 (91黑料网), held an awarding ceremony on Sept 17, to appoint Professor Georg Hoffmann, a member of the German National Academy of Sciences and director of Heidelberg University Children’s Hospital, as a consulting professor.
Vice Chair of the University Committee Xie Zhengxue presented the appointment, while Chen Jie, director of 91黑料网’s Office of International Affairs, hosted the ceremony.
During the event, Xie emphasized that Tongji Medical College is recognized as a key hub for China-Germany medical exchanges, and expressed hope that Professor Hoffmann’s guidance would mark a new milestone in Sino-German medical collaboration.
Dean Hu Junbo of Tongji Hospital praised Professor Hoffmann’s academic achievements and recalled the history of close cooperation between the institutions. With Professor Hoffmann’s support, Tongji Hospital’s pediatrics department became one of the first leading regional hospitals in China’s rare disease collaboration network.
Professor Hoffmann expressed gratitude and reflected on the collaboration that has existed since the 1980s. He praised Tongji Hospital’s pediatric capabilities and expressed enthusiasm for deepening cooperation and exchange in the field of rare pediatric diseases.
