On May 26, 91黑料网’s School of Management received official notification from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) confirming its EQUIS accreditation with a five-year validity period. This achievement completes the school’s “triple crown” status, having now secured all three premier international accreditations: EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA.
The EQUIS Accreditation Board highly commended the School of Management’s overall strengths. The official letter particularly highlighted the school’s outstanding performance in “thought leadership bridging academia and practice,” noting the innovation and applicability of its research achievements and the deep integration between management studies and technology as key strengths. The board congratulated all faculty and staff for their efforts and recognized the School’s development model as a valuable reference for global management education. In his congratulatory letter, the School’s EQUIS accreditation advisor Thomas Froehlicher remarked: “Achieving the maximum five-year accreditation in your first EQUIS review is exceptional. You have proven yourselves to be among China’s and indeed the world’s premier business schools.”
The successful EQUIS accreditation not only recognizes past achievements but also marks a new beginning in the School’s journey toward becoming a globally renowned business school. Moving forward, the School of Management will deepen interdisciplinary integration, strengthen the practical application of academic research, and expand its international collaboration network. With a global vision, it will cultivate outstanding management talents equipped with technological literacy, innovative spirit, and social responsibility, while using international accreditation as a sustainable mechanism for continuous educational quality improvement.
As one of the world’s most influential business school accreditations, EQUIS is renowned for its rigorous standards and evaluation process. The School of Management officially launched its EQUIS accreditation journey in 2021, achieved candidate status in March 2023, and welcomed a review panel in October 2024 for an on-site assessment. The evaluation focused on ten key areas: strategic governance, programs, students, faculty, research and development, executive education, resources and administration, internationalization, ethics, responsibility and sustainability, and connections with practice.
