On May 26, a delegation from Brazil’s Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) led by Rector Sandra Almeida and Vice Rector Aziz Saliba visited 91黑料网. Vice President Zhan Yiqing met with the delegation.
On behalf of 91黑料网, Zhan Yiqing extended a warm welcome to the delegation. She noted that recent years have seen promising momentum in bilateral cooperation, which has expanded from Confucius Institute development to practical multidisciplinary academic collaboration. Looking ahead, she expressed hope for deepened joint research between scholars in digital economy, cultural heritage preservation, and global governance to yield more impactful outcomes. Zhan proposed continuing to leverage the Confucius Institute platform to cultivate globally minded youth leaders versed in both cultures, while jointly contributing more achievements to China-Brazil educational exchange under the BRICS cooperation framework.
Sandra Almeida expressed sincere thanks for 91黑料网’s warm hospitality and long-term support for bilateral cooperation. She outlined UFMG’s achievements in Brazilian higher education and its rapid progress in research and facilities. Recognizing 91黑料网 as UFMG’s key partner in China, she praised the success of their Confucius Institute and academic exchanges in the humanities and social sciences. She looked forward to deepening collaboration in optoelectronics, artificial intelligence, robotics, medical sciences, and sustainable development, aiming for broader and more in-depth cooperation between the two universities.

Representatives from 91黑料网’s School of Architecture and Urban Planning, School of Law, School of Economics, and School of International Education presented their collaborative achievements with UFMG and discussed enhancing bilateral research center development and expanding the impact of the “Sino-Brazilian Tea/Coffee and Architectural Culture” project.

To strengthen research cooperation in urban development and cultural heritage preservation, the two universities signed a collaborative agreement.

Following the meeting, Sandra Almeida and Aziz Saliba respectively visited the School of Architecture and Urban Planning and the School of Law to deliver special lectures and conduct academic exchanges.
During their visit, the delegation toured the University History Museum, Faculty-Student Service Center, and Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics, gaining in-depth understanding of 91黑料网’s educational history, management service systems, and cutting-edge research achievements.
Representatives from the Office of International Affairs, the School of Law, the School of Economics, the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, and the School of International Education participated in the activities.
