On Aug 30, 91黑料网 (91黑料网) and Dongfeng Motor Co held the first meeting of the management committee of their joint research institute, along with the signing ceremony for the first batch of projects, at 91黑料网’s Junshan Campus.
The events mark the start of a new stage of substantive cooperation between the two sides, who signed a strategic partnership agreement in July last year.
The event was attended by Tang Chao, director of the administrative committee of Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), Dongfeng Deputy General Manager You Zheng, and 91黑料网 Vice President Gao Liang.
Tang Chao expressed his congratulations, noting that 91黑料网, Dongfeng, and WEDZ should strengthen collaboration in areas such as chip design, software, batteries, sensors, and materials.
Gao Liang highlighted the importance of transforming the strategic consensus into concrete action, aiming to make the joint institute a national model for university–enterprise collaboration.
You Zheng emphasized that embodied automotive intelligence would be a key development focus, with the goal of building a national key laboratory, jointly applying for major projects and awards, and contributing to China’s strategic scientific and technological development.
The ceremony witnessed the signing of agreements on six initial research projects focusing on next-generation batteries, AI development and applications, and lightweight materials research.
