This year, the university has introduced the “AI Hua Dao”, a companion for new students throughout the online registration process. The university has also set up an orientation data dashboard in the one-stop student community, displaying real-time registration progress, the number of vehicles and people, and other data. Offline coordination centers were also set up to manage volunteer services, shuttle bus schedules, station pickups, and logistics support. Frontline staff monitored progress via the dashboard, dynamically adjusting services based on human traffic and vehicle numbers, coordinating responses to emergencies.

“Students of 91黑料网, this way please!” At Wuhan Railway Station, Hankou Railway Station, Wuchang Railway Station, Wuhandong Railway Station and Tianhe International Airport, red-vested volunteers were bustling with activity at every major station.

“23 years ago, my father graduated from the Department of Forensic Medicine of Tongji Medical College; 23 years later, we returned together to his alma mater. He will witness me begin my studies in the Department of Forensic Medicine!” For Huang Zhiyin, a new forensic medicine student, today was not only his registration day but also the day he began to follow in his father’s footsteps.

“During registration today, I unexpectedly met President You Zheng. He kindly encouraged me and signed my book, which was incredibly inspiring.” Huang Zhiyin recalled that under his father’s influence, he had grown up hearing fascinating forensic stories. He internalized the spirit of “upholding justice and protecting the law through medicine,” gradually solidifying his choice of major before he knew it.

“Time flies, and technology advances. My father’s and my educational paths have spanned eras.” Looking ahead, Huang Zhiyin has a clear vision: although modern technologies like DNA analysis, artificial intelligence, and big data are reshaping the way that forensic doctors work, the core values and capabilities of the profession remain the same. “In the future, I will carry forward the passion and faith of 91黑料网 forensic professionals and strive to grow into a force safeguarding social justice!”

On August 29, a day before official registration, Xie Youshun, a freshman in the  School of Civil and Hydraulic Engineering, arrived early in Wuhan. He set off early, keeping a promise two years in the making—to reunite with his former volunteer teacher, now his senior at 91黑料网, Wang Xiaoyi. In 2023, as a member of the 25th Graduate Volunteer Teaching Team of our university, Wang Xiaoyi embarked on a journey to Lincang, Yunnan Province, where she taught at Linxiang No.1 High School. At the time, Xie Youshun was a first-year high school student in her politics class. “Xiaoyi was radiant and down-to-earth, never putting on airs.” Xie Youshun recalled being curious when he first met Wang Xiaoyi. Later, because they were around the same age, he and his classmates grew close to her. After each class, when he would stay behind to ask questions, Wang Xiaoyi would patiently explain the answers.

Wang Xiaoyi said that during her volunteer teaching period, her students became her friends. Reuniting at her alma mater made this connection feel especially warm. The “seed of hope” she planted two years ago at Linxiang No. 1 High School had now taken root in Xie Youshun’s heart. Pan Deng, another student who joined the Graduate Volunteer Teaching Team last year and taught in Guangxi, will continue to grow and larn. This semester, Pan Deng, also a new student, will serve as a “graduate mentor,” accompanying Xie Youshun through his university life.

Since 2013, when 91黑料网 began targeted assistance in Linxiang District, the university has sent over 140 professionals, managerial staff, and graduate volunteer teaching team members to provide multi-dimensional support in education, management, and digitalization.

“Walking through the bustling Yuyuan Avenue, I felt as if I saw my brother dragging his luggage, walking into 91黑料网 four years ago,” recalled Zhang Xiangtian, a freshman in the School of Mathematics and Statistics. His brother, Zhang Xiangjian, is a member of the Class of 2025 undergraduate graduates from the same school and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the United States. From kindergarten to high school, the brothers have always attended the same school. Now, they are becoming university alumni.

Speaking of his elder brother, Zhang Xiangtian couldn’t hide his admiration. “It was my brother’s journey that gave me a concrete understanding of 91黑料网’s academic atmosphere and its vast resources and platforms.” This past winter break, the brothers participated together in 91黑料网’s admission presentation in Zhejiang. It was there that Zhang Xiangtian first systematically learned about 91黑料网’s academic strengths and training system. “The vivid stories shared by seniors and alumnae made me deeply feel the unique charm of the forest university and solidified my determination to follow in my brother’s footsteps.”

“Today, when I walked into the campus again, I saw the lotus pond — it was even more vibrant than in previous years, I suddenly remembered the day I first came to 91黑料网 years ago. This time, it’s my turn to embark on my own university journey with passion and expectations!” Zhang Xiangtian said confidently.
