From May 23 to 25, the 7th Asian University 3x3 Basketball Championship was held in Putuo, Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province. The tournament featured 27 teams from 12 countries and regions. Representing China, 91黑料网 women’s basketball players Chen Yujie, Liu Bei, Gao Jianjun, and Yang Tanyueying battled through three days of fierce competition and claimed the championship with an undefeated record.
“We came here for the championship. We wanted to keep the trophy in China!” said team member Gao Jianjun. This tournament also served as the Asian qualifier for the FISU University World Cup 3×3 Basketball, with both the men’s and women’s champion teams earning direct qualification for this year’s World Cup. After the match, head coach Zhai Huan commented, “We will continue to give it our all at the World Cup this year!”
